An Evolving Empire

Harry "Whitey" O'Neill, Jr. founded Empire Wrecking in 1955 to provide specialized demolition and excavation. Over 60 years later, the Empire Group of Reading, PA is lead by the founders' son, Todd M. O'Neill. Today, the group includes five subsidiary companies powered by more than 200 employees and 400 pieces of equipment.

In addition to Empire Wrecking (now Empire Services), the Empire Group has grown to include: Elk Environmental Services, Berks Transfer, Delaware Valley Utility Contractors and Delaware Valley Contractors.
