Elk Environmental Services completed an extensive project with Terraphase Engineering to remove regulated soil at a redevelopment site in New Jersey. Elk initially sampled and secured approvals for 2,000 tons of contaminated soil and 11 roll-off loads of crushed drums and soils. Elk’s technical and transportation teams worked together with the operations and sales teams to direct analytical and sampling needs for approvals, excavation, and disposal. Additional sampling and excavation due to analytical data resulted in an additional 1,500-2,000 tons of soil needing excavation, transportation, and off-site disposal. Elk's team, in conjunction with Delaware Valley Contractors (an Empire Group affiliate), provided the excavation equipment and support to stockpile, load and transport the soil.

This Thanksgiving season, Empire Group is blessed and grateful for all our employees who make our business successful. This past year we paid tribute to our employees with several appreciation days – Family Fun Day at Knoebels, 27th Annual Empire Group Golf Open and the Annual Fishing Rodeo. In the fall, Empire Group was grateful to win two awards at the Keystone Truckin’ Nationals. In addition to these amazing events, we look back on some of the unique jobs our employees have performed this year with some of our projects highlighted below.
We are thankful for all our front line employees as well as those who work behind the scenes, ensuring that all projects are completed with the highest level of customer satisfaction. At Empire Group, we take pride in our employees. We are only as strong as they are and look forward to finishing 2022 strong! Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
